Did you know.. if you burn some wood.. burn it until it becomes ash.. we need about 1 cup worth.. let it cool off.. scoop it up.. alright let's bring this inside.. add 2 cups of water.. and let it sit for about 6 hours.. stir it a little bit.. after a few hours it's gonna start to separate.. heavy stuff in the bottom.. this top layer is what we need.. so strain this out into a pot.. now we need to boil this down.. until it's about 1/2 of that.. then pour it into a container or a bowl.. now we gotta add some fats.. so grab a pot.. add a tablespoon of milk.. 1 tablespoon of butter.. and 2 tablespoons of oil.. give it a mix.. melt it.. and now you wanna add this yellow.. ash liquid we made.. slowly pour it in.. and this is where the magic starts to happen.. it starts changing instantly.. into this creamy texture! now grate a little bit of orange zest.. then pour this into a silicone mold.. let it sit for a little bit.. boom.. what you have right now is.. homemade.. solid.. bar of soap.. no chemicals.. and you can make different types.. this one has oats in it.. this one's infused with lavender.. at the store these things cost.. $8-$15 dollars.. I made them for a $1 dollar.. out of ashes! this works because when mix ash.. with water.. you get lye! the yellow stuff.. people have been making soap for thousands of years.. now you know how to do it too!
