My sister learned that this one word has about a thousand meanings. Tell them what you told me. So why did that guy say he was pissed at the pub? He didn't really look that pissed. Welcome to the magical world of the word piss. Or pissed having about a thousand meanings and I'm not even exaggerating. So at home when someone says pissed, it usually always means angry. Like they're upset, they're pissed off. That's usually the only time we'll use it outside of like I need to go take a piss. But here there is literally 30 I can think of off the top of my head. So it's like if something super expensive, that's a piss take. Second one is pissed. So if a guy is at a pub saying he's pissed means he's probably actually drunk. Now a piss up, do you have any idea what that is? As opposed to a piss down? No, it's a piss up. So if someone's organizing a piss up, that's just a drinking session. Hmm, one of the funniest sayings with this one is you couldn't organize a piss up in a brewery. Which obviously, you should be able to organize a drinking session in a brewery. Now I'll leave you with a few more cause they're gonna give us a bunch. But if someone's on the piss, that usually means that they are in the middle of a drinking session. So they're on the piss. And then another one is taking the piss. So like, you're taking the piss like they're asking you, are you joking? Like, are you pulling my leg? Hmm, okay. So that's just a few of the many ways that they use piss. They can refer to rains pissing down there. There's so many ways that British use the word piss. It's it's very versatile.
