Replying to @kez You’d be shocked that this concept is more commonly thought than you think… Whilst a downsize does sound like the bar would need to be cut especially with knowing you’re not supposed to remove jewellery whilst healing, no scissors are involved!✨ Your piercer will simply swap out your current long bar to a shorter, of course sterile bar. This helps with healing as it is less likely to be snagged. It’s super important not to diy your downsize at home as it is still a healing wound, therefore it’s still at risk of bacterial entering and leading to infection❤️‍🩹 If your piercing is ready and you’re yet to do so, book that downsize appointment.
