Let's make a custom ring for someone and let me show you exactly how I make it. I'm using Sterling Silver wire here and I'm using my ring mandrel to start off by making a band using the size nine and a half. I'm wrapping the wire around the ring mandrel twice, but theoretically you could wrap three times, four times, it's really up to your own discretion and how thick you want the band to be. Once the wires wrap around twice and then they start to overlap, then I'm going to create an intentional twist to pretty much lock the wire in that size. And then in order to create that rose effect, we're going to wrap around the wire around that central point. If you decided not to twist the wires, you would actually still make this ring except the wires would be straight and you would almost create like a spiral looking ring. Then we have to tuck those excess wires on the outside of our band, not the inside because then it's going to scratch her finger. So on the outside and then I choose to hammer my band because it makes it a bit stronger and I like the look of it. It's a cute and simple beginner friendly ring that anybody can make with just a few simple tools. This may order ringing is available on my website if anybody’s interested, you just let me know what size you want and I make it for you. I can make it in brass, silver, or copper :
