Why it worked

The video likely resonated due to its timely and sensitive discussion of postpartum mental health issues, leveraging a high-profile case and a relatable celebrity anecdote to engage viewers on a topic of significant social importance.

Summary

The video discusses the public's empathy for Lindsay Clancy and connects it to a broader societal lack of understanding regarding postpartum depression and psychosis. It also references Hayden Panettiere's experience with Neutrogena to highlight the financial implications for women speaking about their mental health.

Structure

1Introduction to Lindsay Clancy and public empathy
2Societal understanding of PPD and psychosis
3Hayden Panettiere and Neutrogena example
4Call for safety and space for women's mental health discussions

Product placement

Neutrogena: APPEARS - a brand mentioned in the text. Removing it would change the context of the statement about Hayden Panettiere's contract, but not the core message about PPD and women's mental health. It does not ACT in the video.

On-screen text

Wonder why so many people have empathy for Lindsay Clancy? Because everything coming out of this trial is forcing us to confront how little we understand PPD & psychosis until something unimaginable happens. And then you remember Hayden Panettiere said Neutrogena ended her contract after she spoke openly about postpartum depression. A brand built on women's dollars, FYI. We cannot keep asking women to be honest about postpartum mental health without creating the safety and space for them to speak openly without fear of being judged or punished when they do.

Sorry but Neutrogena isn’t getting nearly as enough hate as they should for a brand built on women. When is society going to take PPD and women’s health seriously and fund more research dollars?! #fyp #haydenpanettiere #lindsayclancy #ppd #womenshealth
