I bought my sister a sewing machine on Facebook marketplace for $75. The seller said it was broken... The guy that sold it to me said that the bobbin is tangling. So we're going to do some sewing machine surgery and try and figure this out. I have my mini tool to help me remove the screws. I removed the screws. First step: Clean the outside (It's a little crusty). Before I clean in there, I'm just gonna give it a really good wipe down. Next step: Get in there!!!!! I'll let you see what's going on. I have my handy dandy little brush tool that's going to help me clean in the bits. Now we're going to unscrew some more pieces. I removed the little bobbin keeper. Now it's time to dust in there. So much cleaner. So much cleaner. I'm going to secure it back in. Now we'll put the plate back on. Reassemble and good as new! Time to test! I'm going to thread a new bobbin using this thread and see if it runs smoothly. Here's my freshly wound bobbin and now I'm going to pop it in. Re-threading the machine. So it's time to test it out. I keep a bag of all my scraps so let's pick a scrap out of here to test it on. And it works good as new. WORKS GREAT. All the machine really needed is a good clean. And it works good as new. CLEAN YOUR SEWING MACHINE. So this is your sign to clean your sewing machine if it's been a while and I'm going to take my own advice and go clean my own machine.
