Starbucks hack

Why it worked

The video taps into the popular trend of "Starbucks hacks" and "dupes" by offering a visually appealing and cost-effective alternative to expensive Starbucks drinks. The use of readily available and inexpensive ingredients like boba and Mio drops makes the hack accessible and shareable.

Summary

The creator demonstrates a "Starbucks hack" to make a custom drink for under $1 by using venti waters, boba pearls, and Mio flavoring drops. The video shows the process of assembling the drink and a taste test, highlighting the cost-effectiveness and flavor.

Structure

1Introduce Starbucks hack for budget-conscious parents
2Showcase ingredients: boba and venti waters
3Display the receipt showing the low total cost
4Add raspberry popping boba pearls
5Add Mio flavoring drops to create blue raspberry lemonade
6Taste test and mention a creamy variation with coconut milk

Product placement

Starbucks: APPEARS - a logo on cups. Removing it would not change what happens in the video. Mio: ACTS - a liquid flavoring added to drinks. Removing it would change the drink's flavor and color. The creator adds it to the drinks to create a specific flavor profile. Boba: ACTS - small chewy balls added to drinks. Removing them would change the drink's texture and appearance.
