McDONALD'S - Researchers found phthalates + replacement plasticizers across sampled fast foods, including foods from McDonald's. Certain phthalates are known endocrine disruptors. 🌮 TACO BELL - Nearly 2,000 Cyclospora infections reporting Taco Bell exposure were identified in a 2026 outbreak linked to recalled iceberg lettuce. Cyclospora is a microscopic parasite that can cause serious Gl illness. ☕️STARBUCKS - A 2026 lawsuit alleges independent testing detected methylene chloride, benzene + toluene in Starbucks Decaf House Blend Medium Roast. Why it matters: Benzene is a known carcinogen, while methylene chloride and toluene raise concerns around cancer, liver, and nervous system health depending on exposure.
