Nobody prepares you for the disappointment that comes after you prayed, believed, and still didn't get what you asked God for. Nobody prepares you for the disappointment that comes after you've prayed, believe and still didn't get what you asked God for. Have you ever prayed about something so hard believed it was going to happen and then watched it fall apart? That's a different kind of hurt because now you're not just disappointed in the situation, you're asking God, why didn't you answer me? I've learned that disappointment doesn't mean God abandoned you. Sometimes what feels like rejection is protection. Sometimes what feels like a delay is preparation. See, and sometimes God allows a door to close because he can see what's on the other side of it and you can't. That doesn't mean you won't cry. It doesn't mean you won't question. It means you can be disappointed and still have faith. You can tell God, I don't understand this, but I still trust you because faith isn't believing everything will happen the way you want. Sometimes faith is trusting God when it doesn't. If you're disappointed about something you prayed for, comment. I still trust somebody else may need to know they're not alone.
