Part 2 of our DIY dining room bench seat!🤍 So I was actually really stuck between going for a darker colour or a really nice light bright colour. In the end I decided to just go for it and we chose Farrow & Ball's 'Mouse's Back' but we did get the colour mixed up in Valspar's Dead Flat Matt. Also before doing any painting we did prime the wood with wood primer and then obviously before these clips I had already done one coat of paint. Also when I got to painting the skirting I did just get a piece of paper and slide it under the bonkett to stop me painting the floor because this is new floor and that would have been an absolute nightmare. I did also try and use tape to do the cutting in but it didn't work and it ripped all the paint off the wall so I ended up just doing it by hand and I actually think I did a good job considering it's just a bit of a pain. I absolutely love the shade. I think it adds so much warmth to the room. We've got like a beige neutral kitchen so I really wanted to add a bit of colour into this space. Next I need to find a bit of fabric and also make the cushion myself. So follow to see part 3!
