If you want to learn electronics, this is part two of me learning it from scratch. Now I've been writing software for years and this is the first time in ages that I feel like I have no fucking idea what I'm doing. I've forgotten how much I actually like that feeling. And this week I learned the really basic stuff of circuits. A circuit only works if it's a complete loop. Break it anywhere and the whole thing is screwed. Did you know that electricity doesn't actually travel through the wire? It travels around it, in the field. The wire is mostly there to point it in the right direction.
