My favorite board games to play with my wife. I am telling y'all, please try board games for your next date night. Y'all have way more fun, I promise. First up, we got is Pillars of Fate. This is a clever card game that's a lane battler. All that means is you're playing cards in different lanes trying to win. Positive points. Now you have two different faces. You've got the sites and the Omegas and they're positive and negative values. And you're playing the cards face down, so it's almost a bluffing mechanic because you might want to push a lane and you're trying to fake out your friend or opponent or wife, whoever. And you'll be like, oh, I really want this lane. Not actually, I don't want it. I wanted you to have it. It's clever, it's quick. My wife and I have great fun with this. It's like 20 minutes a game. Next up, we got is Flamecraft Duals. I do have the fancy version where the box opens up to the actual board, but you don't really need that. The standard version is just fine as is. Basically, you are doing like almost a pattern recognition game. You're pulling dragons out of a bag, placing them on the board and they'll activate tiny little abilities. But the main goal is you're trying to make them match the pattern goals you have and then they'll be worth points. You draw new cards and you're like, oh, maybe I need like a red, green, yellow and blue dragon in a row, or like a red, green, purple dragon, like a triangle, something like that. And so it's nice, it's quick, it's tactile. Components and it's just dude, it's artisan dragons. What more can you say no to? Continuing on with the cute vibe, we got Century Golem Edition. Now I know there's a line of games called Century and you definitely don't need to have the Golem version. I just think this one's more fun because it does have gems. So you are trying to befriend these massive behemoth Golems with gems. And they're different upgradeable gems. You got yellow to green, to blue, to pink. And you're spending them trying to buy different Golems and you're getting upgradeable gems. And it's just, it's so fun, it's so light. It's quick and it's just it's a great time. And also it just looks so cute on the table. And finally, if you've been following this channel for a while now, you know my wife and I's favorite game to play together is Dominion. Now this is a deck-building game. What that means is you start with 10 cards and you're trying to make your deck better and more optimized because you're buying cards from the market. You're buying money, you're buying action cards, really. Why are we doing all this to make your kingdom better? To get the most amount of points. You're buying estates, you're buying duchies, you're buying provinces. And it's just so solid. There's so many damn expansions for this game that just like make this game replayability like through the roof. Base game is solid for sure. But you really want to dive into those expansions when you get bored with this because some of the combos you can do, action cards, really, really cool. We love Dominion. We play the shit out of it.
