I was going to Thailand from a month. This is everywhere that I'd go. First up is Bangkok, I'd spend about two nights there. Maybe a bit longer if you're into the city, but I'm not really into the city. Two nights was definitely enough for me. Then I get the sleeper train to Chang Mai. I'd spend four nights. I loved it there, so much to do. It was so nice. Then from there I'd fly to Phuket, I'd spend three nights. And then I do three nights in Krabi and three nights on the Phi Phi Islands. Don't skip the Phi Phi Islands because I loved it there. Then from there I'd get the bus over to the other side and go to Koh Samui. I'd spend four nights in Koh Samui. It is a little bit more expensive, but there's quite a lot to do. And then I would spend two nights in Koh Phangan, but I'd only go to Koh Phangan if the full moon party is on. When it's not, it's kind of dead. And then from there I'd get the boat to Koh Tao and I'd spent like a week in Koh Tao because there's so much to do and there's so much to do. I loved it there.
