Colombia welcomed Israeli rescue teams after a deadly earthquake... but rejected other countries. Colombia's new right-wing government refused most international rescue efforts after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck the country on Aug. 10. Other volunteers expressed frustration after being told to leave when the Israeli teams came. I think it's very uncomfortable that because the presence of the Israelis here, then us, the guys, we are the guerrilleros and the primeras líneas [protesters]. I find that to be totally offensive.
