Back in the Philippines I used to eat this almost every day for less than a dollar. This is how I make the easiest Salisbury steak. A lot of recipes online calls for making your own burger patties, which is perfectly fine. A lot of recipes mix breadcrumbs or panko, or Worcestershire sauce. Personally, I don't like mixing all those things to the burger patty because the texture will be closer to meatloaf, which I don't prefer. Sear 4 minutes per side. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 350 F. 1 medium onion. 1/2 cup mushrooms. 4 cloves garlic. 2 Tbsp butter. 2 Tbsp flour. Cook for 3 minutes. Make sure to cook the flour all the way. You don't want to taste raw flour. 2 cups water. Slowly add the water. 1 beef bouillon cube. Black pepper & Thyme to taste. Now place the steak back in the gravy. Now I like to pair this with either rice or mashed potatoes. I just have mashed potatoes right now, so that's what I used. But I highly suggest pairing it with rice.
