Let’s toast to self-love. 🥂 Not the kind that requires you to believe you are perfect, but the kind that allows you to be human and still consider yourself worthy of tenderness. Let’s toast to learning how to speak to ourselves with the same patience we so freely give to the people we love. To forgiving ourselves for decisions made with an older understanding. To no longer measuring our worth by who chooses us, who stays, who leaves, or who understands us. Self-love is sometimes beautiful—taking yourself somewhere nice, celebrating your accomplishments, caring for your body, and enjoying your own company. But sometimes it is much quieter. It is resting without feeling guilty. Saying no without writing an essay afterward. Starting again without being ashamed that the first attempt failed. Leaving spaces where you continuously have to shrink. Looking in the mirror and refusing to make an enemy out of the person staring back at you. And perhaps most importantly, it is understanding that you will spend your entire life in your own company. Through every beginning, every heartbreak, every triumph, every ordinary Tuesday, and every version of yourself still waiting to emerge—you will be there. So build a beautiful relationship with that person. Become somewhere you feel safe returning to. Here’s to choosing yourself without abandoning others, loving yourself without needing to be perfect, and becoming your own home wherever life takes you. Let’s toast to self-love. 🥂❤️ #CapCut
