Did you get this email? You probably ignored an email from Google about a month ago and here's why you shouldn't. This email talked about a new setting that they're launching and it's already on your account. Hi, I'm Caitlin. I'm a cybersecurity data protection expert and I want to help you protect yourself online. Let's go. The setting is called "SEARCH SERVICES HISTORY" and what it does is that it saves every photo you search with Google Lens. Also every voice search and every phrase you spoke into translate. And it uses that to train Google's AI models. I actually want you to think about what you've actually used Lens for. A weird rash, a pill, something personal, a document. That's what's going into Google by default, RIGHT NOW. And Google says the data stripped of your identity once it's used for training. But they don't say when the collection is already happening. Here is how to fix it. On your phone go to this website myactivity.google.com/activitycontrols. Go to OTHER ACTIVITY AND SETTINGS, SEARCH SERVICES HISTORY and go in and turn off "SAVE MEDIA".
