Maybe this is the part of being an immigrant nobody prepares you for… Your parents send you alone to travel. They send you with big dreams of success and prepare you to make lots of earnings. But, we face the reality when we hit the road. The actual path is way more than just success and money which no one prepared you for. But eventually, the circumstances, problems, and finances make you become so good at controlling yourself that people forget you’re struggling too. You don’t react - because you need the job. You don’t complain - because you need the opportunity. You don’t quit - because someone back home is counting on you. So you keep saying, “I’m fine.” And the dangerous part? After saying it enough times, you can start believing that your own feelings don’t matter. But listen - Self-control is powerful. Self-suppression is not. Being patient with your journey doesn’t mean you have to disappear inside it. You didn’t leave home just to become good at surviving. You came here to build a life that actually feels like yours. If you know an immigrant who’s silently carrying more than they show… Send them this. They might need to hear it today. #health #SelfImprovement #internationalstudents #canadalife #punjab
