This man right here was convinced that any human being could absorb and learn a new language subconsciously. His name is Stephen Krashen and he studied the theory of comprehensible input. Basically, the theory believed that this part of your brain called the basal ganglia allowed you to learn language subconsciously. So I'm gonna explain to you why he's right and why this is the best way to learn any language. Basically, that is how they teach you in school how to learn a new language. It's a way of learning based on translation. Coz you see that 'amanecer' means sunrise, 'año' means year and 'atardecer' means sunset, for example. The problem with this learning is that it is based on memorization and memorizing a bunch of the words. The problem that that actually works is that you have to actually use those words in real life conversations. You can't remember all of them. It's impossible. On the other hand, the comprehensible input theory is based on patterns and experience. The idea is basically to learn a new language the same way you learn your mother tongue when you're a baby. Okay, let me give you an example. This app uses the comprehensible method. It puts you in a real-life context. It helps you be immersed in like conversations. For example, we're at the park, socializing, I'm talking to this girl. If I don't understand what she's saying, I have the whole sentence written and I can also listen to what that words of her mouth. Remember easily. And you also have the microphone right here to practice your pronunciation. That way you can learn new words while practicing a real-life conversation through full immersion. In this case scenario, you're learning the language experience. You're living the whole thing instead of using only memorization.
