tire tread gauge

Why it worked

The video uses a high-stakes fear-based hook regarding losing a driver's license to immediately capture attention, then provides a low-cost, practical solution that is easy to understand and implement.

Summary

A mechanic explains the legal consequences of driving with tires that have tread depth below the legal limit. He then demonstrates how to use an inexpensive tire tread gauge to check tire safety and directs viewers to purchase the tool via the TikTok shop.

Structure

1Hook: The high cost of illegal tires
2Explanation of legal penalties
3Introduction of the tire tread gauge
4Demonstration of how to use the gauge
5Call to action to purchase the tool

Product placement

(a) Tire tread gauge: ACTS — the creator demonstrates how to zero it on a flat surface and then uses it to measure the tread depth of a car tire to determine if it is legal. Removing it would change the video as it is the specific tool being recommended and sold. (b) C&G Autos: APPEARS — the creator's logo is on his shirt and in the background. Removing it would not change the video.
