I've been getting a lot of questions like this recently, so I thought I would do a video breaking down what I use for exfoliation and how often I use it. If we want smooth, clear, glass skin that reflects light, exfoliation 100% has a place and a very important place in your routine. But it needs to be done right. Absolutely hero products for exfoliation that I have used and talked about for years is the Obagi pore therapy which is a 2% salicylic acid toner. I cannot live without this. It goes into so many of my clients' plans. It's actually my most reordered product from my clients' skin plans. The data doesn't lie. Everyone bloody loves it. It contains 2% salicylic acid which is a BHA and it's oil soluble, which means it's actually able to penetrate deep into the follicle and clear out those pores. So when you're getting acne, breakouts, sebaceous filaments, any form of congestion, or even if you're just wanting to minimize your pores, this can actually get into the follicle. I do also love the Medik8 pore pads. I've used these again for a very long time. Used correctly, I think they're great and so many of my clients bloody love them. This has got your AHAs and your BHAs. So I do sometimes use these. And in regards to how often, I would recommend starting out three times a week and not on consecutive days. And like with all skincare, take your time bringing it in. If you go pedal to the metal and like yourself in chemical exfoliation every single day, you'll then got a whole other world of problems. So start out slow and build it up. Like I say, three times a week is what I would usually recommend. However, I always say about everything with skincare, it's listen to your skin. I can use this every morning and my skin doesn't even flinch. Like it's so used to it and it eats it up. But if you used it every morning or go in straight away using it every single day, you might compromise your barrier. I personally tend to use them in the morning. I don't cleanse my skin in the morning, so I just rinse with lukewarm water, wipe over with one of these, and then go in with any hydrating toner, hydrating serums, moisturizer, and of course your SPF. If you are oily acne prone like myself and you haven't tried this, you need to give it a go. I can categorically say you are missing out. It is incredible. I can categorize say you are missing out. It is incredible.
