My biggest pet peeve is when I'm late to the tea because what do you mean, this girl was allegedly pretending to be a PA student for two years, fake wait until her graduation, and became a whole content creator documenting her journey, getting brand deals and all? The girl's name is Angel Victoria Murdock, and this whole situation taught me that I am not scamming nearly enough because, yes, for roughly the past two years, she has been documenting what she claimed was her journey through Duke University's Physician Assistant program, and she really committed to the bit, y'all. She posted get ready with me videos for clinical rotations, outfits for her psych and OBGYN rotations, studying content, videos in scrubs, and even what appeared to be a badge. She really built a following around this lie and reportedly worked with major beauty and skincare brands, including Sephora and La Roche-Posay. The problem, actual Duke PA students say she was never in their program. Students became suspicious after finding Angel's content and realizing none of them had ever seen her in class, on campus, or at program events. But then, Angel took it a step further and posted graduation photos outside Duke Chapel in a cap, gown, and hood, celebrating finishing PA school. You can't make this stuff up. Mind you, she's nowhere in the class photos and her name was never called at the ceremony. Out of all the schools she could have allegedly pretended to attend, she picked Duke, the literal birthplace of the PA profession. Are you serious? But hold on, y'all, it gets better because how was Angel supposed to be a PA student in one of the most competitive programs in the country but was also doing reality TV at the same time? Because why did she appear on Netflix's Temptation Island in 2025, where she was publicly described as a PA student? So was she doing this on summer break or in between clinicals or what? And then before she got exposed, had the nerve to be talking about how she was graduating soon and how difficult it had been balancing work with PA school. Mind you, maintaining a regular job while doing PA school is unheard of, most people do not do that. PA school is really grueling and takes a lot of your time, so balancing that with a 9-to-5 is unheard of. But yeah, once people began questioning her online, she reportedly began blocking people and her social media accounts eventually went private or disappeared. My question is, what was going to be the plan after she fake graduated? Like, was she going to pretend to go to work as a PA as well? This is why you can't believe everything you see online, and it's even making me wonder exactly how many people are pretending to be students and professionals for content.
