Cardi B is such a natural because why did I sit here and watch this entire Huda Beauty ad like it was a movie. Cardi and Huda basically switched lives in this new "Snatched Baddies" campaign. Cardi B becomes the beauty boss. Huda starts channeling Cardi, and the whole concept was actually pretty funny. And this isn't just a random promo, of course. It's for Huda Beauty's new "Ultra Snatched" collection, launching on September 10th, which includes new pink and lilac shades in the Easy Bake line. Cardi has also been putting a lot into her music video visuals lately because she just dropped the video for "Aha" which was filmed in Stuyvesant Park, Brooklyn. I really liked the video because it reminded me of the ones I watched on 106 and Park as a kid. It was a level up to a New York summer. You have the bikes, stoops, fire hydrants, people dancing in the streets, the fire hydrant scene, and even Cash Doll makes a cameo. But Cardi B said filming it wasn't so fun, unfortunately, because she originally thought this relatively simple street video would cost around $250,000, but she says the final cost ended up being over $1 million. Woo! Between permits, security, crowd control, and reportedly needing around 40 NYPD officers on set, Cardi felt like she was being overcharged just to film in her own city. Thankfully, the final product seems to be paying off though, because I've seen a lot of people praising the visuals and how authentically New York the video feels. And Cardi might have another big moment coming up because Saweetie with Kehlani is nominated for Best Hip-Hop at this year's VMAs, and predictors on Kalshi currently have Cardi and Kehlani as the favorites to take home the award. On a side note, Cardi B's natural hair is goals. She's making me want to try her new grow-good hair line. For those of you who have tried it, how do you like it?
