They look really impressive. Links in the caption. They're really manageable so they're brilliant for learning how to build a bit more of an elaborate bake from fairly simple components. Next, her lemon layer cake with lemon cream cheese buttercream. I love this one. It's gorgeous. It's an introduction to layer cakes and it teaches you stacking, frosting and balancing that sweet frosting with acidity. So I consider myself a self-taught baker and I recommend her recipes constantly because I think her recipes like this one are really well-tested, clearly written, usually include photographs, troubleshooting and explanations. And finally, her cinnamon swirl quick bread. No yeast, no mixer, no complicated shaping. It teaches you how to layer and swirl a filling through a simple batter and gives you something that feels like a cinnamon roll in a fraction of the time. Honorable mention goes to her famous chocolate layer cake. I know people absolutely adore it, but I haven't personally made it yet, so I can't recommend it as I have, but I've got it on good authority that it is an absolute winner.
