What happens at bedtime often shows up at 2 AM 👇 👋 I’m Jaq! A certified sleep consultant and mom of 3, and if you’re exhausted from constant night wakings, I want you to know that better sleep starts before your baby even closes their eyes. Here’s why: If your baby falls asleep being rocked, fed, or held all the way to sleep, they may need that same help every time they wake between sleep cycles overnight. ⭐️ But when you put your baby down awake, you’re giving them the opportunity to practice falling asleep on their own. And that skill is what leads to longer stretches and fewer wakeups. No, you don’t have to go from rocking to putting them down wide awake overnight. Just. start. small… it doesn’t have to look perfect the first night and it definitely won’t so don’t feel discouraged! ✔️ Try laying your baby down awake and giving them a chance. If they fuss and you decide to go in and help them, that’s okay! You’re not ruining anything. Will it take longer if you help them sometimes? Sure. But sleep isn’t all or nothing. Consistency beats perfection every time. 👏 A few minutes of practice each night can make a huge difference over time. And I’m here to help you every step of the way! 👉 Comment “REST” and I’ll send you my free guides for getting your baby sleeping through the night and approaching night wakeups. 💜 Follow me for realistic sleep tips that actually work from a momma who’s been there #sleepconsultant #babysleep #baby #momof3
