Solo travel has become one of my favourite ways to explore. 🤍 @Kampgrounds of America #KOAPartner A lot of people assume travelling solo would feel lonely, but I've found it's actually the opposite. It gives me the freedom to slow down, follow my own schedule, and spend my days exactly how I want to. After spending a few days at KOA, here are the three things that stood out most to me: ✨ 1. Having one home base made exploring so much easier. Instead of packing up every day or driving from place to place, I had one spot to come back to after kayaking, hiking, and exploring the Thousand Islands. It made the whole trip feel simple, stress-free, and let me focus on enjoying the adventure. ✨ 2. I never felt completely alone. Solo travel doesn't mean you have to feel isolated. One of my favourite things about staying at KOA was the atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming, people were outside enjoying campfires and evening walks, and there was a real sense of community while still having your own space to unwind. It struck the perfect balance and made me feel really comfortable travelling on my own. ✨ 3. It gave me the confidence to try something new. This was actually my first time staying in an RV! I'd always been curious about RV travel, and staying at KOA made the whole experience feel approachable and easy for a first-timer. If you've been thinking about taking your first solo getaway, I hope this encourages you to go for it. You don't have to travel across the world to have an adventure. Sometimes it's just a weekend away in a beautiful corner of Ontario. 🤍 Ready to plan your own getaway?
