#ad I'm making a gown out of PAPER TOWELS?!

I'm making a gown out of Viva Signature Cloth. I have been challenged alongside seven other designers to see who can create the best look out of paper towels. So because I'm a crazy person, the first thing I thought was, let me try to make a corset out of this paper towel. Since it's durable like cloth, I think it can handle it. I spent an hour last night dyeing panels of paper towels different colors. So I could weave together my own paper towel textile for the corset. Have I ever woven anything before? No. Never. Obviously though, I still have to make an understructure so I could be absolutely snatched. And I got to show off those tailoring skills. And while I was working on the corset, I also started dyeing the skirt. This is a GIANT Viva roll! Thank goodness Viva is absorbent like cloth because I could not get the color right and I had to keep re-dyeing it every time it dried. Okay guys, I need to re-dye everything because I feel like it's pretty light and I definitely want to darker. And since there is this cloth-like softness to Viva, I knew I wanted to create this beautiful billowing skirt. And an invisible zip! And this paper towel gathered skirt. Absolutely perfectly.
