The other day I was talking to my mom and I was like, why do you never curl your hair? And she was like, because nobody's ever taught me. So if nobody's ever taught you how to curl your hair, I'm going to show you. First thing we're going to do is part our hair. I like to part my hair in the middle when I curl it, that way everything is even. And then go ahead and brush your hair out so there's no knots or anything in it. Now we always want to use a heat protectant when we put any sort of heat on our hair. This is the AG Care Firewall. I really like it, it's a dry heat protectant. It sprays out kind of like hairspray. I love this one specifically because it doesn't leave your hair feeling wet. When I curl my hair, I like to start from the back, so I'm going to take a teeny tiny section. I like to use the curling iron with the clamp. You can also do the wand, I feel like this is more consistent. That way the clamp is facing the front. Now we're going to turn it towards us and slot it and turn it towards us. That way it stays flat on the barrel. Now when we do it like this, the hair is curling away from our face. Now we're going to slide it and turn back towards us. And don't leave it on there long at all. We're going to turn it sideways like this, drop it, bring it up, drop it again, bring it up. I like to leave the ends of my hair straight, so we're just going to go ahead and pull it down. And now you have a perfect curl. We're going to section again. See that's like too much hair, it's not going to look right. Going to grab it like that. That's a good amount. The clamp goes towards the screen and we're going to turn it towards our face. Slide it, turn it towards our face. Very important we keep the hair flat on the barrel. Undo your clamp a little bit so it can slide, turn it back up towards you. Now at this point we have too much hair on the barrel. Take my clamp and go underneath the hair like that. Now we're going to slide it and turn. Take the barrel under the hair, under the hair, and slide down. We're going to go to the next side. We're going to section our hair off about an inch. Put the clamp to the front, clamp facing your mirror. We're going to turn it to the left, turn it away from your face, make a little circle, open your clamp and drag it down. Now that we finished our curls, they should look a little something like this. We're going to wait and let them cool down for a minute. Now we all love volume in our hair, so I use the Kenra Dry Texture Spray. This part's optional though, you don't have to do it at all. Lift up sections of our hair like this and just spray it. I like to have a lot of volume at my roots. I'm going to take my comb right here and I'm going to drag it away from my face and spray like this. And hold it for a minute. Again, we're going to do it again. There we go. Now that looks so much better than over here. Also scrunch up your hair like this to give it a little extra volume at your roots. Now we're going to take a wide tooth comb and brush our hair from the bottoms up. And if you want, we can do a little extra texture spray at the bottom of our hair. And this is what it should look like from the back. And that's how you curl your hair. Bye y'all.
