READ CAPTION ⬇️⬇️⬇️ 1️⃣ Too much conditioning Constantly running yourself into the ground can leave you too fatigued to stay explosive. 2️⃣ Heavy lifting before games Training too hard right before competition can leave your legs feeling slow. 3️⃣ Skipping your warm-up Going straight into explosive movements without preparing your body can hurt performance. 4️⃣ Sitting all day Being inactive for hours can leave your hips, ankles, and muscles feeling stiff. 5️⃣ Not eating enough carbs Low carb intake can mean less fuel for sprinting, practice, and games. 6️⃣ Inconsistent sleep Poor sleep makes it harder to recover and perform at your best. 7️⃣ Doing extra speed work every day More sprinting isn’t always better. Too much can create unnecessary fatigue. 8️⃣ Never hitting max speed If you only train at submaximal speeds, you aren’t consistently exposing your body to true sprinting. 9️⃣ Trying to make up missed workouts Adding extra sessions can create more fatigue instead of making you faster. Your goal in-season isn’t to train as much as possible. It’s to stay fresh, explosive, and ready to perform.
