She was NOT Failed by anyone & that's a hill I'll on She was not failed by anyone What more did you want? What what more did you want? Right? Mental healthcare providers are They don't have a crystal ball. They're not mind readers. There is no blood test to be done to determine that somebody has bipolar disorder or somebody has postpartum depression. They rely on the patient being truthful and forthcoming about what they're experiencing. Lindsay did none of that. She had more help than most women could ever even dream of. She had her parents, she had her in-laws, she had a nanny. Her husband started working from home to be there to help. The bigger kids were in preschool three days a week. She had a psychiatrist. She went to the psychiatrist every time she was asked if she was having intentions of hurting herself or others, she answered no. She was given explicit instructions on what she needed to taper certain medications to increase dosages to stick to one plan and one provider. She even admitted that she knew that she needed to stick to one provider and one plan and yet she did not do any of those things. Her psychiatrist recommended that she see a therapist for like behavioral, like coping techniques. And she put in a referral for the therapist that was at the office. She went to three, maybe four visits with that therapist and then discontinued it. She was offered full inpatient care. She was offered partial hospital care. She was offered outpatient treatment. Like what else were they supposed to do for her? I don't understand. I genuinely do not understand. And this is coming from someone who suffers from mental health issues. I have bipolar depression. I am medicated. It took a long time to get a correct diagnosis and a correct medication regimen for me. I dealt with pre-partum and postpartum depression. But they're not mind readers. They rely on the patient and unless there is something that is visibly evident that the patient is hallucinating and is talking to things that aren't there, visibly in front of them.
