What do you do for a living? I'm an air traffic controller with NAV CANADA Do you mind me asking roughly how much you make in that position? the starting salary is anywhere from about $100k-$170k but we can make more with overtime what is the educational and training background? all you need is a high school diploma and then NAV CANADA provides the rest of the training what's your favourite part about your job? the feeling I get at the end of the day when I know that I got all the pilots home safely also it's just super fun you're pretty much spending the day like solving puzzles you make all the decisions yourself so it's really rewarding the most challenging part about the job? training in our industry is pretty full on also just like the mental game you play with yourself all day you're kind of questioning like how could I have been better what could I have done to get people in faster what kind of advice would you give to anyone who's maybe interested? I would say apply it's not really something that a lot of people think of as a career in my opinion the best career in the world I love that well thank you so much I appreciate it yeah thank you
