you listening to vocal only music is better than listening to normal music you wearing tight clothing is better than showing skin you wearing the hijab showing your neck is better than not wearing it at all reading one page of the quran is better than not reading it at all i don't know where this narrative started getting pushed that islam says it's all or nothing and that you have to be perfect because in the quran allah swt says himself obey me as much as you're able to do so which the prophet saw also said when he said do as I command as much as you're able to do it he didn't say do it perfectly or don't do it all that was never part of islam that mindset pushes so many people away because it's so demotivating when you feel like you're trying your hardest and then someone tells you your efforts are worth nothing even though it says in the quran that our actions are judged by our intentions the prophet saw even gave the teaching that someone who reads the quran structuring and stumbling and struggling is better than the one who reads it fluently because the more you struggle with something the harder it is and the more good deeds you can get islam was never meant to be linear and you wake up one day and you're the perfect muslim it's never gonna be like that the whole point is that all of islam is meant to be a journey of you trying to overcome your nafs and of course you're gonna fall short sometimes we all sin in different ways sometimes you're gonna go 10 steps forward but the whole point is that you're sincere in your efforts and you're trying your hardest
