They even tested a fully vegan Crunchwrap! Sadly none of these were added to the permanent menu. Panda Express Debuted Beyond The Original Orange Chicken in 2021 and it was wildly popular but didn't stick around. They even tested plant-based beef at one point but that also didn't become a permanent menu item. KFC Tested Beyond Fried Chicken in Atlanta in 2019 which sold out in just 5 hours. They launched it nationwide in 2022 but discontinued shortly after. Carl's Jr. Debuted the Beyond burger in 2019 but it was eventually removed from the menu in 2024. McDonald's Tested the McPlant in 2021, expanded the test in 2022, but despite the hype it was never made a permanent menu item in the U.S. Dunkin' Introduced Beyond Sausage in 2019 and made it available nationwide shortly after. But it was later discontinued. Del Taco Started offering Beyond Meat in 2019 but discontinued it in 2023.
