Why it worked

The video leverages a cultural difference (Scottish alcohol laws) as a hook, creating relatable surprise and humor. The direct address to White Claw for sponsorship, combined with the product being visibly present, makes it a native mention that feels authentic and engaging.

Summary

The creator and her companion are at a convenience store in Scotland, discussing the country's alcohol purchasing laws. They highlight that alcohol cannot be bought before 10 PM, which surprises the companion. The creator then shows a pack of White Claw Hard Seltzer in the car's trunk and jokingly asks the brand to sponsor her.

Structure

Product placement

White Claw Hard Seltzer (a variety pack of hard seltzers) ACTS - it is shown in the trunk of the car and is the subject of the conversation about purchasing alcohol. Removing it would change the video's topic. Red Bull (a canned energy drink) APPEARS - it is in the trunk of the car, but its presence is incidental and does not affect the video's narrative. Londis (a convenience store chain) APPEARS - it is visible as the location where the interaction takes place, but its specific function or branding is not central to the video's narrative.

My favorite thing in the entire world about being in Scotland is absolutely legend. My sister's new husband is here and he's just learned. That you cannot buy alcohol until 10 PM. I'm in shock. 10 AM. What am I supposed to do now? So if you land at the airport like 9 AM, you're trying to do a grocery shop. No alcohol until 10 PM. You're fucked. Yeah, interesting fact about Scotland, guys. And the first part about all of this is if you're in the store's car, there'll always be a back of. You can have them. Me and my gift. I'm driving so I'm not drinking anything. But White Claw please sponsor me like I promise if you know me it's the lifestyle.
