are we the generation of women who fell through the gap? generation who have fallen through the gap somehow because I do no one really to be talking it. I am 45. marriage, marriage ended in divorce. The business I built over eight years left me burnt out and then went bust. I have, I'm have debt. And from the amount of messages I've had since I started talking about this, it seems that there's us, us here. So if you're an older millennial or Gen X, do you feel we've somehow been missed? We grew up traditional, traditional roles modeled for us. So dads tended have careers and mums tended to look after the home. Then all of a sudden, we went to school and there's all this opportunity. We're being sold girl power and told women can do everything men can do. So set our sights on having actual careers, not just jobs. Except our value was still very much tied becoming a wife and having kids. So we decided we just have to do it all. And we did. Then the economy got rocky. Costs went up, salaries didn't, especially for us. We realized maybe it actually isn't possible to have a career and kids without killing ourselves trying. Meanwhile, our parents are living their best lives with paid off houses and pensions. And Gen Z, who were born with smartphones, in social, in social media, seem to be finding ways to earn money and have time to enjoy their lives. And we, in our 40s and 50s, looking around, wondering what happened? Because this is what we were promised. So anyway, if you're here feeling missed, missed the memo somehow, yeah, me too.
