☀️ 1. Your eyes run your body clock. Tucked into your retina are specials cells called ipRGCs. Their ONLY job is sending light and reporting straight to your brains master clock. This is the system deciding when your feel alert, sleepy, when your hormones shift etc. block that light with sunglasses and your body starts to loose track of time… ☀️ 2. Morning light sets your hormones for the day. Getting sun/natural light in your eyes within the first hour of waking triggers your natural cortisol rise (good kind) The hormone that makes your feel alert and switched on!
