For the longest time, I felt so guilty for not being fully present when I was playing with them. I mean I do still have those moments when I truly lock in and enjoy playing, and I wish I could access those moments more easily. But I decided to stop forcing myself to always stay on top of play. I realized that bonding doesn’t necessarily have to mean playing, even if the internet says so. I feel like a bonding moment is any moment when you truly connect.
