Welcome to day 2 of 13 days of Craftober! Today we are turning toilet paper rolls into pumpkin garland and follow along for more fall/halloween craft ideas to make your home more whimsical and fun this cozy season. We're going to cut the toilet paper rolls into these pieces were about half an inch thick. You're going to need to cut a total of four pieces to make a pumpkin. The next step is to paint. I decided to go with a little bit more of a celestial theme to the pumpkin, but you can choose to make them solid or make your own pattern. Toilet paper rolls are such a versatile material and this is something that we all have at home. The other great thing about this project is that it is super easy to make. We're almost done. The next step is to hot glue. We're going to hot glue the four pieces together. We're going to kind of create a star shape and once the glue dries, we're going to mold it to look more like a pumpkin. This is what it should look like before we turn it into more of a ball shape. This next step, just make sure to be gentle, but we're going to squeeze it from the sides to create a ball shape to make it look more like a pumpkin. This is what it should look like. And now we're going to take the pipe cleaners and create little loops so we can put a string through it. I made a couple more with the celestial vibe and used different colors. And here's how the pumpkin toilet paper roll pumpkins are looking. The last step is putting string through it so we can have our pumpkin garland. And now we've got some cute fall Halloween decorations by recycling materials that we all have at home. This is such a fun craft that you can do with family and friends and it's low waste.
