Then he said, “A relationship isn't tested when everything is going well.” “It's tested when life becomes difficult.” Then he told me the 10 things every strong relationship eventually faces. 1️⃣ Distance When you can't be together as much as you'd like. 2️⃣ Money When financial pressure starts affecting the way you treat each other. 3️⃣ Family When people outside the relationship have opinions about what happens inside it. 4️⃣ Misunderstandings When you both hear the same words... but understand them differently. 5️⃣ Anger When you're hurt and have the opportunity to say something you'll regret. 6️⃣ Failure When one of you isn't doing well and needs support instead of judgment. 7️⃣ Temptation When someone else gives you attention and you have to decide what your commitment really means. 8️⃣ Change When the person you fell in love with grows into someone different. 9️⃣ Silence When there are days you don't know how to explain what you're feeling. 🔟 Time When the excitement becomes routine and you have to choose each other without the butterflies. He paused. Then said, “Anyone can love someone when life is easy.” “The real question is whether you can still respect them when you're angry, support them when they're struggling, and choose them when love doesn't feel effortless.” I asked him, “So if we face these things... does that mean we're not meant to be?” He smiled. “No.” “Sometimes the test isn't there to separate you.” “It's there to show you what the two of you are capable of building together.” That stayed with me.
