KITCHEN GADGETS ARE A SCAM I very much believe that most kitchen gadgets, especially the ones that only have one purpose, like this. So why did I keep this one? Meet the Butter Bell. Now most people think that butter left out on the counter is fine. I'm here to tell you it is absolutely not. The second the butter is exposed to air, that's when it starts to go. That's what's gonna give you an old house taste. So when you submerge it in water, it doesn't have a chance to be exposed to that air. No air, no house taste. How about just no weird taste? You can keep spreadable butter in here for up to two weeks. I will do a deep clean on this, but really the only thing that you need to be changing is the water every couple of days. Don't let gross water sit in here. I recommend that when you start to get down to the bottom, wash it with soap and hot water. Let it dry and do that process about every two weeks.
