"Alkimya: House of Wisdom" is a survival horror where you're an alchemist searching the burning library of Baghdad for the cure to save your daughter. The setting is the 1258 Mongol siege of Baghdad, with the House of Wisdom, the greatest library of the Islamic Golden Age, going up in flames around you. You play Yusuf, a master alchemist, and the search is not academic: your daughter is dying and the cure is somewhere inside the burning sanctum. The Mongols are the obvious threat. Whatever is waiting beneath them is not. There are no guns. Combat runs on alchemy, crafting flasks and weapons powered by a cosmic material, with resources scavenged from a building actively being destroyed. The layout is interconnected in the Resident Evil 2 mould, all locked routes, shortcuts, and Golden Age puzzles gating your path. Some enemies cannot be killed at all, only evaded, which is where the tension actually lives. Developed and published by Iksyr, a studio of around 40 with alumni from Bungie, Raven, Playground, and Crytek, Alkimya is targeting early 2028 on PS5 and PC, built in Unreal Engine 5. Full voice acting in both Arabic and English. #Alkimya #AlkimyaHouseOfWisdom #Iksyr #SurvivalHorror #HorrorGame #FirstPersonHorror #CosmicHorror #Lovecraftian #ResidentEvil #Baghdad #IslamicGoldenAge #HistoricalGame #Alchemy #UnrealEngine5 #PS5 #PlayStation5 #PCGaming #Steam #Gamescom #IndieGame #UpcomingGames #NewGames #GamingNews #Gaming
