‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ author Robert Kiyosaki says he is almost £1 billion in debt, despite building his career teaching millions about money and investing. 📚💷 The 79 year old personal finance author has repeatedly said he carries around £890 million in debt, but argues borrowing is central to his wealth building strategy. Rather than viewing all debt negatively, Kiyosaki says he uses borrowed money to acquire income producing assets, particularly property. His bestselling 1997 book has sold more than 44 million copies worldwide. However, the headline figure does not represent debt Kiyosaki personally owes. His former wife and business partner Kim Kiyosaki says it is spread across real estate investments held with partners, including roughly 1,500 apartments.
