Someone reportedly registered a 2002 Nissan Micra in Sadiq Khan’s name, leading to the London Mayor being wrongly convicted and fined over the untaxed car. 🚗💷 DVLA records listed Khan as the vehicle’s keeper after it was spotted untaxed in January, despite City Hall insisting neither he nor TfL owned it. Letters about the car were bizarrely sent to a Gordon Ramsay restaurant near TfL’s Stratford offices. Khan was convicted in his absence and initially ordered to pay £340.84. His team said he was the victim of a scam involving vehicles being falsely registered in his name, something they say has happened before. The incident follows previous threats from some ULEZ opponents to register vehicles to Khan. The DVLA has since reopened the case and the conviction has now been formally withdrawn. #ThisIsMoney #Money #News #UK
