OpenAI just dropped GPT-6 Astra and apparently we’re supposed to be EXCITED that AI is getting better at using computers like a human. It can navigate websites, fill out forms, write software, handle complex professional tasks and OpenAI’s president is already throwing around “welcome to the AGI era.” Oh perfect!!! Because what society was really missing was an AI that doesn’t just answer questions, but can actually take control of the computer and do the job itself. And somehow every new model is marketed like: “Look how many things humans don’t have to do anymore!!” Meanwhile I’m over here wondering when we decided making humans increasingly unnecessary was the benchmark for “progress.” Astra 6? More like Astra PLEASE LEAVE US ALONE. 😭
