Lindsay Clancy supportor Corey Walsh ended her two-year-old son's life because a jury did not find Lindsay Clancy not guilty. Walsh, a 38-year-old mother of four from Frankfort, Illinois, had become deeply focused on Clancy's case. On the day her son died, she discussed the trial with friends in a group chat around 12:30 PM while the jury was still considering its decision. About three and a half hours later, Walsh's two older children returned from school. Their mother was not waiting at the bus stop, so a neighbor walked them home. The children entered the house but quickly ran outside after crying after finding their younger brother Barrett in the basement. A 17-year-old neighbor brought Barrett down and performed CPR. The child was cold and had no heartbeat. He was taken to Silver Cross Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:48 PM. An initial autopsy found that he died from strangulation. Police later found Walsh fully dressed in a bathtub with inflicted injuries. Her baby was found unharmed and her husband was away for work. Prosecutors say Walsh told officers that Barrett was the devil and the antichrist. She now faces three counts of first-degree murder. Investigators are examining her phone to determine how the Clancy trial may have influenced her actions.
