When I was planning my soon-to-be daughter-in-law's bridal shower, I knew I wanted to create something special for each of her guests to take home. I found these adorable butter knives that already had little floral designs on each of the handles and I simply heated the handle to loosen the glue holding the metal knife spreader in place and then carefully wiggled it out with flat pliers. Once cleaned up, it left the perfect little opening right down the center. Instant miniature vase! Then I carefully used super glue to attach two tiny magnets to the back of each one. Now you could totally use dried flowers, but of course, I had to be extra and I filled each one with a little water and baby's breath and a touch of eucalyptus for greenery. To display them, I had this magnetic board and I just drew a little custom sign that matched the theme of her bridal shower. And just like that, these little porcelain DIY vases became beautiful tiny little vases and instant keepsakes. I love small details, the ones that make people feel a little extra loved and thought of. And now when each guest left, they could take one home as a little thank you for coming and celebrating her and being part of her special day.
