Faux Patchwork Quilt Halloween DIY Trucker Hat I had a bunch of leftover Halloween fabric and wanted to find another way to use it, so I thought I would show you guys my faux patchwork quilt method on a trucker hat. I cut most of my pieces into 1” x 1” squares and started layering them with Matte Mod Podge, cutting some pieces smaller when I needed them to fit along the edges. And that’s the beauty of patchwork — the pieces don’t have to be perfect or symmetrical. Those little imperfections are what make it look like patch work. I used regular Mod Podge since I won’t be washing this hat, but if you want yours to be washable or spot-cleanable, I’d recommend Fabric Mod Podge. Once everything was dry, I went back in with a black paint pen and added little stitches to each square. This step is so worth it because it really makes the whole patchwork look come together. I’m a hat person, and this one is definitely going to be getting a lot of wear all October. I love how it turned out! #craft #DIY #hat #halloween #ghost
