I received the following message (below) from the Covid Memorial Wall Ig page. I completely accept those are the rules, It’s sad but its fine. I feel this is a safe space for me to share with you all. Sending love to everyone who lost someone in those terrible times. And to all of those who worked, helped, volunteered, thank you ❤️ “We are so very sorry your brother died, but with huge respect for your grief and terrible loss, the Wall is a unique memorial dedicated to the people in the UK who died from the covid virus, ie who have covid-19 given as a cause of death on their death certificates. There are more than a quarter of a million of these people and this is their national memorial. We do not believe in a heirarchy of grief and think that all deaths deserve to be remembered, and we always suggest that those who lost someone for other reasons add their person to the memorial in beautiful St Paul’s Cathedral, which was specially built to commemorate all deaths during those dark times.”
