And I decided I needed a hobby so I stopped doomscrolling so here we are again making clay art. Now one of you have asked me to make the Jellycat marshmallows and croissant. So I figured we may as well turn them into keyrings. I started by molding the basic shapes of the marshmallows and getting them both to look symmetrical, which is honestly a struggle. But that wasn't even the hardest part because molding the tiny faces and legs took forever, especially with how long my nails are and how small the details were. But I couldn't forget their little blush, so I used some pink eyeshadow on their cheeks and they look so adorable, I can't. Now for the croissant, I saw this trick on TikTok where you roll out the clay, cut out a triangle and then roll it into the shape of the croissant. I generally wasn't expecting it to work this well, but it was actually easier than I thought. I used some orange eyeshadow to give it that toasted look and then added its tiny face and legs, which I was able to do a lot faster this time. So I guess I'm improving, right? Then I added some wire for the keyring attachments and look how cute they already look. Now I haven't exactly had the best track record in baking my clay, so I did about 20 minutes this time and of course the marshmallows still didn't burn this time. So I'm calling that a win. But at least the clay didn't burn this time. To finish them off, I added some clear top coat to make them extra glossy and then attached the keyring attachments. And honestly, these may be my favorite ones that I've made so far. So let me know what I should make next.
