I decided I need a hobby to stop doing scrolling so here we are making clay. This is my first time making clay art and I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. But I've been seeing these adorable Jellycat cupcakes everywhere so that's what we're gonna attempt today. I started by rolling out the clay and then molding it into the basic shape of the cake. Once I was happy with the shape, I started making all the little details such as the strawberries and candles, which ended up being the hardest part. Guys, I didn't realize how tricky it was working with such tiny details, especially having long nails. And I probably should have watched a tutorial before doing this. But my toxic trait is thinking I can wing it on the first go. But honestly, I found the whole process so therapeutic and I can definitely see how people get so into clay. And she was looking so cute at this point. And I was honestly so nervous putting it in the oven because I didn't want to ruin it. But she survived. I finished it off with some clear top coat and then put it in the UV lamp to cure. And I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty impressed with myself for my first go, but I definitely still have a lot to learn. So please share all your clay tips with me and let me know what I should make next.
